Scheduling professional pressure washing is one of the best investments you can make in your home's curb appeal and long-term protection. To make the most of your appointment — and protect your property — there are a few simple steps you can take before our team arrives.

Exterior Preparation Checklist

Before your pressure washing appointment, please complete these steps outside your home:

  • Close all windows and doors tightly. Even professional equipment can drive water through slightly open windows or doors if water is directed nearby. Check that all exterior-facing windows are fully closed and latched.
  • Move outdoor furniture, potted plants, and décor. Clear the areas to be cleaned — patio furniture, potted plants, outdoor rugs, grills, and decorative items should be moved away from the cleaning zones. This protects your belongings and gives our technicians unobstructed access to every surface.
  • Cover outdoor electrical outlets and light fixtures. While our technicians take care around these areas, covering them with plastic wrap or tape adds an extra layer of protection against water intrusion.
  • Park vehicles away from the cleaning zone. Move cars, motorcycles, and bikes away from areas being cleaned. Our equipment doesn't damage vehicles, but cleaning solutions can leave spots on paint if not rinsed quickly.

Landscaping and Plants

Caldwell Clean's technicians always pre-wet landscaping before applying any cleaning solutions and rinse thoroughly afterward. Our solutions are biodegradable and chosen to be safe for plants when properly diluted. That said, if you have delicate or recently transplanted plants near surfaces being cleaned, mentioning this when you book allows us to take extra precautions.

Pets and Children

Please keep pets and children inside during the cleaning process. Our commercial equipment operates at significant pressure and uses cleaning solutions that are safe when used correctly, but the cleaning zone should remain clear for safety.

Interior Preparation

For standard exterior pressure washing, you don't need to do much indoors. However, if you're having windows cleaned as well, removing any fragile or valuable items from window sills and clearing interior access to windows will speed up the process significantly.

After the Cleaning

Most surfaces will be fully dry within a few hours under Florida's sun. Avoid walking on just-cleaned pool decks or driveways with rubber-soled shoes until dry — wet cleaned concrete can pick up marks. If you've had pavers treated and resealed, we'll provide specific cure time instructions before foot or vehicle traffic resumes.
